Lena L. Kennedy, CEO, Community Women of Vital Voices

A visionary leader and tireless volunteer, Lena L. Kennedy serves as CEO of Community Women of Vital Voices that specializes in community building strategies, philanthropic consulting, and leadership coaching. Her organization, Women in Leadership Vital Voices, seeks to make its members the most informed women in the United States about public policy, politics, and how they both really work. 

Her 38 years of consulting includes working with numerous corporate executives, city governments, and local, state, and federal elected officials. 

Her board service includes The Kennedy Center for the Arts, Pasadena Art Council, Pasadena NAACP, Community Health Alliance of Pasadena, First AME Church - Pasadena, Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel, Pasadena Symphony Advisory Council, and Pasadena Playhouse Diversity Committee. Her extensive volunteering has earned her recognition from numerous civic organizations. 

In 2000, she founded the So Cal Women’s Health Conference & Expo, which has brought together more than 32,000 attendees over the years to empower them with informative and practical lectures on health, wellness, and lifestyle by renowned physicians and other healthcare professionals. 

A Pasadena native, Lena received professional training at multiple institutions. One of 10 siblings, she draws strength from her deep community roots and family, which includes her children Tyesa, Jonathan, Chris, and Kari; and two beautiful grandchildren: Christopher and Savannah.
