Dario Frommer, Partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP

Dario Frommer is a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and previously served as the Majority Leader of the California Assembly, leaving a lasting impact on the state's legislative landscape. Throughout his career, he has been a dedicated advocate for the preservation of open space and environmental conservation. He was instrumental in the passage of California's first Urban Parks Program. This landmark legislation generated over $300 million in funding, facilitating the construction of parks and open spaces in cities across the state.

Additionally, Dario played a crucial role in securing funding to safeguard the last pristine stretch of the Verdugo Mountains. He co-authored a groundbreaking law to combat climate change in California, demonstrating his commitment to sustainability and addressing the pressing challenges of the modern world.  

Dario received a J.D. degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Law and a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Colgate University. In addition to the One Arroyo Foundation, Dario serves on the boards of the Children's Law Center, and YMCA of the Foothills.
