The One Arroyo Foundation Seeks Visionary Executive Director to Lead Efforts in Preserving and Restoring the Arroyo Seco
The One Arroyo Foundation is excited to announce that it is seeking a visionary leader for the role of Executive Director. This key position will spearhead efforts to preserve and restore the Arroyo Seco, one of California's great natural and recreational urban spaces.
The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors and staff to plan, organize, and direct the work of the Foundation. This position offers a unique opportunity to build on the existing successes of One Arroyo and expand its reach by engaging more people through education, fundraising, and outdoor activities in the Arroyo Seco.
Key responsibilities of the Executive Director include leading and coordinating the efforts of staff and consultants while keeping the Board updated on progress towards goals. One Arroyo seeks a dynamic leader to build on current momentum, drive engagement, and expand the Foundation's impact.
The ideal candidate will be a visionary strategic thinker with leadership and management experience. They should be eager to implement the Arroyo Seco Master Plans and collaborate with the City of Pasadena and other organizations. Essential skills include major donor fundraising, grant writing, and leading capital campaigns.
Candidates should have experience working with high-level Boards and managing non-profit or government entities. Experience in developing educational programs is highly desirable. A preferred candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience, including working with community representatives, government officials, and staff.
The Executive Director must oversee community relations, develop positive relationships with Pasadena leadership, and meet fundraising goals. The position requires a flexible 35-hour workweek, including some evenings and weekends. The salary range is $110,000 to $130,000. More information about the position can be found here.
